Websites and commerce

Build a website that can carry the business forward

A clear, fast website or online shop that explains the offer, helps the right customer act and gives the business a stronger base for local search visibility and future automation.

For many small businesses, the website is the front door. It needs to tell people what the business does, why it is a sensible choice, where it works and how to take the next step. A polished page is not enough if the offer is unclear, the enquiry route is awkward or the site is difficult to find.

Astraeus brings the web presence, visibility and operational work into one sequence. We start with the customer journey and the commercial job of the site, then design and build the right pages, commerce flow or lead path. Search foundations are part of the build. Automation or AI is introduced only where it genuinely improves the work behind the site.

The sequence

How the work moves

  1. 01

    Plan

Clarify the audience, offer, priorities, existing assets, customer journey and the job each page must do.

  2. 02

    Shape

Set the site structure, page copy, visual direction, lead or checkout path and the information search engines need to understand the business.

  3. 03

    Build

Create the responsive site or shop, connect the required forms, analytics and business tools, then test the paths a customer will use.

  4. 04

    Launch and improve

Publish a measured first version, check crawl and conversion basics, then use real questions and behaviour to decide what to improve next.

What belongs in the first release

Clear commercial structure

A page hierarchy that makes the offer, audience, proof, location and next step easy to understand.

Conversion paths

Contact, booking, quote or checkout routes designed around how the customer is actually ready to act.

Technical foundations

Responsive performance, accessible markup, sensible metadata, canonical URLs, sitemaps and analytics readiness.

Search visibility groundwork

Relevant service pages, local information, internal links and structured data that match the visible content.

Commerce where it fits

A focused catalogue, product detail, payment and fulfilment flow for businesses selling online.

A clean handover

Ownership, access, basic operating notes and a clear list of what is live, what is measured and what can wait.

What can follow after launch

Search and AI visibility

A deeper SEO, AEO and GEO programme when the business needs a more complete visibility baseline and content plan.

Enquiry and CRM automation

Route enquiries, create records, assign ownership and surface follow-up work once the current process is understood.

Content and evidence

Add useful service, location, case-study or buying-guide content that answers real customer questions.

Practical AI

Introduce AI assistance only where it improves a defined task, with a person retaining control of consequential decisions.

The honest boundary

A website cannot substitute for a clear offer, reliable service or a sales process that the business is prepared to run. We will not add a shop, chatbot or automation simply because it sounds modern. The first release is scoped around the business case and the work the client can maintain.

Direct answers

Common questions

Do you only build new websites?

No. Some projects need a new build, while others need a clearer structure, stronger service pages, a better enquiry route or an ecommerce improvement. The right answer depends on the current site and the commercial problem.

Can the website include SEO from launch?

Yes. Good technical and local-search foundations belong in the first release: crawlable pages, clear services, consistent business information, sensible metadata, internal links and appropriate structured data. Ongoing visibility work is separate when it needs more depth.

Can you build an online shop?

Yes, where online commerce is a sensible part of the model. The work covers the customer journey, product information, checkout and the systems needed to keep orders and fulfilment manageable.

Will the site use AI?

Only if it improves a defined part of the experience or the work behind the site. A clear site, good content and a reliable enquiry route matter more than adding AI for its own sake.

Who owns the website after launch?

The client owns the site, content and accounts that are set up for the project. The handover records the access and operating responsibilities clearly.
